President/Senior Consultant
With over 20 years of experience in forest health monitoring and management working in both urban and boreal forest settings, Jeffery has dedicated his career to helping clients conserve and protect the environment for current and future residents to enjoy. He has worked in public, private, and non-profit sectors during his career focusing on forest health management and fish and wildlife monitoring. A major focus of his current work includes public awareness, active monitoring and management of non-native urban forest health agents (e.g., Dutch elm disease) in Western Canada. When not at work, Jeffery enjoys getting outside with his wife and finding outdoor adventures.
Intermediate Consultant
Over the past years, Reuben has applied his post-secondary education – alongside expert guidance from his coworkers – to gain experience in a variety of projects including Dutch Elm Disease monitoring, Climate Impacts on Health and Productivity of Spruce (CIPHS) study plot establishment and Mountain Pine Beetle management in Cypress Hills Provincial Park. Outside of work, Reuben enjoys bicycling, propagating houseplants and challenging himself at the climbing gym.
Intermediate Consultant
With almost a decade of experience fighting wildfires in Northern Alberta and across Canada, Marco decided to pursue his passion for environmental resource management in Saskatchewan. With Living Tree, Marco has worked on FireSmart and Mountain Pine Beetle management projects. He brings with him a diploma in Forestry Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and a background in urban forestry. In his spare time Marco enjoys playing sports, caring for his garden and home, and spending quality time with his partner and their dog, Waffle
Forest Health Technician/IntermConsultant
Donovan completed his Bachelor of Environmental Technology in 2021. He is involved in a number of Living Tree Environmental's forest health and Dutch Elm Disease monitoring projects. As an avid hiker, Donovan is comfortable in the wilderness. He enjoys being outdoors, has a deep respect for nature and wants to help educate people on how to protect our environment.
Junior Consultant
Having joined the Living Tree Team in June 2023, Christopher has had the opportunity to work on both the provincial and municipal Dutch elm disease monitoring projects. He has also assisted with the Enhanced Forest Inventory project in Northwest Saskatchewan and wildfire fuel management projects in the Prince Albert Forest Management Area. Christopher is also very knowledgeable about the proper care of plants and this is a great asset to the team during forestry field operations.
Forest Health Technician/Junior Consultant
Krysten joined the Living Tree Team in July 2024 after working for 15 years in the Animal Health Care field. Krysten has been involved in the Forest Health and Dutch Elm Disease monitoring and management projects. She will also be assisting with the Mountain Pine Beetle management and Wildfire Mitigation projects during the fall and winter months. In her spare time, Krysten enjoys getting outdoors for nature walks to sharpen her plant, animal and bird ID skills. She also has a keen interest in gardening, and taking care of her cats.
